Leather Seat Care: The Materials

Leather seat care in Miami Beach is not an immensely difficult task. Just check your owner’s manual for the supplies you’ll need to adequately care for your Mazda leather seats. Some of these materials you should already have in your garage, while others may require you take a trip to the hardware store. Here’s a list of the materials you’ll need:

  • Sponge
  • Vacuum
  • Microfiber Towels
  • Leather Cleaning Agent
  • Leather Conditioning Agent
  • Soft-Bristled Brush

Step 1: Prepping the Seat

Before you do anything related to the cleaning process, you need to get any destructive debris out of the way. Vacuum your seats, taking care to remove any debris that can be found in between the seats. After that, spray the leather cleaning agent onto a microfiber cloth and wipe away any debris that’s left with slow, even circles.

Step 2: Brushing and Cleaning

Move quickly, as you’ll need to do this while the cleaning agent is still wet on the leather. You should give a light scrub of the leather with a soft-bristled brush to get the dirt that is stuck in the leather apart. When the dirt comes to the surface, wipe it away using a microfiber cloth.

Step 3: Conditioning the Seat

This is the last step of the process and makes for a like-new looking seat. Using a little at a time, apply the leather conditioning agent to the seat with the sponge or microfiber cloth, making sure to apply it in slow, even circles. After you condition, leave your car in the shade for an hour to let the conditioner work.
